We had a wonderful time spending the week with our longtime friends from Maryland!! It was so nice to see them and and just hang out. Our daddy was able to take a day off so we headed to the beach, but on the way we took a detour to a Sugar Mill that was converted to a restaurant. They serve make-your-own pancakes at your table (and eggs and french toast too!!)...this was soooo fun!! the kids did really well and the food was well worth it!!
As you can see Hopey had a blast at the beach....this was only her 2nd time at the beach and she thoroughly enjoyed playing in the sand...eating it...and wearing it!! She wasn't all that interested in going in or near the water though....but we did manage to stick her toes in. She found a ball on the beach and spent quite some time chasing it along the shore as the wind was blowing it away every time she tried to pick it up. It was quite the show for many beach-goers!!
On their last day here....they actually returned to the beach to get one more good sunny day in before returning up north....and took all the kids with them (except Hopey)...which made for a nice quiet afternoon for me with just one child!!
It was a very busy week and way too short for visiting....we miss them already!! Can't wait to get up there and see them again!! Love you guys!!
